Mesotherapy For Hair Growth

Mesotherapy comes from the term used to describe the middle layer of skin, “the mesoderm”. The treatment is a part of classical medicine, not alternative medicine, and it was first practiced in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor. To improve hair quality, prevent hair loss and induce new hair growth, the treatment is periodically applied to the mesoderm layer of the skin with the help of special thin needles.

Mesotherapy is personalized for the patient. FDA-approved drugs most of which are herbal are used. Hyaluronic acid, antioxidant vitamins, L-carnitine (used for cellulite treatment and weight loss), selenium, ginko biloba, DMHA (used for tightening the skin), vitamin B5, copper and zinc rich liquid, and cocktails in the form of gel or cream are used. These substances join microcirculation and directly act on the treatment area. Pain is minimal as local anesthetic creams are used pre-operation.

Mesotherapy, depending on the patient, is applied once in 2 weeks for 5 sessions. A session takes 20 minutes in average. Results are typically seen after the third session. Cancer patients, patients with dermatological disease, those receiving anticoagulant treatment, patients with hyperactivity, pregnant or lactating patients, those with immunologic diseases and diabetic people are not suitable for mesotherapy treatment.
